CHAIR #1

PROJECT

Chair #1 is a metal chair that speaks of masses within the space.
During the draft process i had discovered much interest in the play between the masses and the lines on the paper and went on from there on that direction.
The chair is airy in the space and has the minimal mass that allows it to remain stable and seateble.
In the development process i had set of to find which steel rod profile will be the necessary minimum to serve the main function of the chair - sitting.
And so i had found the profile that serves both the esthetic and functional virtues.
It was also important for me that the chair will be stackable, light and comfortable to carry, i had chosen to allow the stacking by creating a set-back in the seat for the rest place of the following chair legs.
I had created two identical chairs in a different color as a part of a large serie of stackable chairs.
